Easter Basket Cloth - Wordless Wednesday

A gift from Pereksta cousins in Slovakia during our visit there in 1990. The cloth is put over the basket of Easter foods that is taken to the church on Holy Saturday to be blessed.

    1. It is, Carol. If I remember correctly (distinctly possible that I don't) it was done by one of my Aunt Nascia's family.

    2. OK, now I have stitching envy! :-) It is lovely, do you use it for purpose stated, or something else rather special?

    3. Only Easter, though I might use it for a baptism or first communion if the occasion arose.
