Wordless Wednesday: Uncle Vasil's Family

A portrait of my great-uncle Vasil's family taken in 1965 at their mother's funeral. Vasil died in 1957. His youngest brother Mikola (who had no shoes) is seated 3rd from the left.

  1. What a GREAT looking family.

  2. Wonderful story! It really brings out how there can be different perspectives on the same circumstances that still ring true. This has happened in my research on several occasions. In fact, there are instances in my own family within my lifetime of family members who are revered by some and despised by others for equally valid reasons.
Recognizing this is so very important. I hope in doing research into my own family that I can pass on some grace and understanding to future generations.
